The Griffing Group provides three types of services: valuations, litigation support
and transaction advisory services. In each area we employ a unique process that ensures the objectivity, integrity and quality of our work.
Step 1 is crucial and begins before we even accept a project. We listen to the
potential client to understand the services he or she needs. We explain what we can and cannot do, and how we work. Our role as valuation professionals is to be
objective reporters of value. Working with The Griffing Group involves a commitment from the client to our unique process.
Step 2 occurs if we accept the project. (We do turn down projects that are not a
good match for our company.) We brainstorm to determine the best approach for the project, and we decide which of our professionals will collaborate on the project.
Our organizational structure distinguishes us from many of our competitors in that
one principal guides the project from beginning to end. When a principal delivers his conclusion of value or economic damages, he speaks with authority and confidence because he was part of every step of the project.
Step 3 is the implementation. We analyze the company from quantitative and
qualitative points of view. We work to understand not only the financial position
and prospects of the company, but also the story of the company. In a litigation
project, we conduct a thorough analysis of the dispute and identify the key issues.
Paying attention to detail at this stage ensures that our conclusion is logical,
reasonable and supportable. We take pride in our investigative and analytical skills.
Step 4 is the delivery of a well-crafted and customized written report, and expert testimony to support our report, if applicable. All of our work is bolstered by our
firm’s extensive litigation experience. Whether or not our work will be used in court, we approach each project with the level of scrutiny and seriousness required for litigation. Once we’ve made our objective determination of value or damages, we rigorously defend it.
